Huijue Router with Fiber Optic Interface

Huijue routers typically do not have a direct fiber optic port; the fiber cable connects first to an ONT, and the router connects via its WAN/Ethernet port.

Understanding the Connection

Most home fiber optic setups, including those using Huijue routers, require an Optical Network Terminal (ONT) provided by your ISP.

The ON

T converts the optical signal from the fiber into an electrical signal that the router can use. This means the fiber optic cable does not plug directly into the Huijue router. Locating the Router InterfaceWAN Port: On the Huijue router, look for the WAN port, usually labeled as "WAN" or "Internet." This is where the Ethernet cable from the ONT connects.

SF

P Port (if available): Some advanced routers may have an SFP slot for fiber modules, but most standard Huijue models rely on the WAN/Ethernet port. Ethernet Connection: After the ONT converts the fiber signal, use a standard Ethernet cable to connect the ONT's LAN port to the router's WAN port.

Steps to Connect

Ensure the ONT is powered on and the fiber cable is securely connected to its optical port. Connect an Ethernet cable from the ONT's LAN port to the Huijue router's WAN port. Power on the router and wait for the indicator lights to confirm a successful connection.

Access the router's admin panel to configure your ISP credentials if required.

Key Notes

The fiber interface is on the ONT, not the router itself. Handle fiber connectors carefully to avoid damage or dirt. If your Huijue router supports SFP modules, you may be able to use a fiber module directly, but this is uncommon for standard home models.

By following this setup, your Huijue router will receive internet from the fiber connection via the ONT, ensuring proper network functionality.
