Price of Singapore Cable Trays and Busbars

Cable trays in Singapore typically range from SGD 20 to SGD 200 per meter depending on material, type, and load capacity, while busbars can range from SGD 50 to over SGD 500 per meter based on current rating and material.

Cable Trays

Cable trays are available in various types and materials, which significantly affect pricing: Types: Ladder, Trough, Wire Mesh, and Solid Bottom trays. Ladder trays are ideal for light to medium-duty applications, while trough and solid bottom trays are suited for heavy-duty or industrial environments. Materials: Common materials include stainless steel (SS304, SS316, SS316L), aluminum, mild steel with epoxy coating, and hot-dipped galvanized steel.

Stainless steel and heavy-duty galvanized trays are more expensive due to durability and corrosion resistance. Construction: Light-duty trays (13mm) are cheaper, medium-duty (25mm) moderately priced, and heavy-duty trays (50–100mm and above) are the most expensive. Price Range: Light-duty wire mesh or aluminum trays can start around SGD 20–50 per meter, medium-duty steel trays around SGD 60–120 per meter, and heavy-duty stainless steel or coated trays can reach SGD 150–200 per meter.

Busbars

Busbars are used for power distribution and come in copper or aluminum, with pricing influenced by: Material: Copper busbars are more expensive than aluminum due to higher conductivity and material cost. Current Rating: Higher amperage busbars require larger cross-sections, increasing cost. Insulation and Coating: Epoxy-coated or insulated busbars add to the price.

Price Range: Small aluminum busbars for low-current applications may start around SGD 50 per meter, while large copper busbars for industrial use can exceed SGD 500 per meter. Suppliers in SingaporeRS Components: Offers a wide range of cable trays and accessories with next-day delivery.

Tips for Procurement

Match tray width and depth to cable bundle requirements. Choose materials suitable for environmental conditions (corrosive, humid, or high-temperature areas). Ensure compliance with IEC 61537, NEMA VE-1, and Singapore SS249 standards.

Consider accessories like covers, joint plates, and cable markers for easier installation and maintenance. By considering these factors, you can select cable trays and busbars that balance cost, durability, and compliance for your specific application in Singapore.
