Overview of a Distribution BoxA distribution box (DB), also called a distribution board or panel, receives power from the Main Distribution Board (MDB) and distributes it to multiple sub-circuits within a building or facility. Common components include: Main Circuit Breaker (MCB or MCCB): Protects the entire DB from overloads or short circuits. Residual Current Circuit Breaker (RCCB): Provides protection against earth leakage currents. Busbars: Conductive bars that distribute power to multiple circuits.
